Tips for Revive guests

Before your visit to Revive:

• Stay well hydrated. Drink plenty of water before your session.

• A shower or bath before a sauna session can increase perspiration as bathing opens the pores.

• Dry brushing before showering will also help to open pores and stimulate the lymphatic system. (Move towards the heart)

• Oil and lotions tend to decrease perspiration by blocking pores. Do not apply before your sauna session.

• Avoid or remove any cosmetics. You want your skin to breathe and benefit as much as possible from the Infrared light.

• Limit food intake to a light meal or snack an hour before your sauna session. Your body will detox more effectively because it will not use that energy for digestion.

• Do not use the sauna immediately following strenuous exercise. Wait at least 15 minutes to allow the body to cool down completely.

• Arrive a few minutes early. You will be more relaxed if you are not rushing. This also leaves time for you to use the restroom and refill your water bottle before your session is scheduled to begin.

• First-time Revive guests, please arrive 10-15 minutes early so we can give you a quick tour of our facility and your private suite. We will then give you a quick overview of your full-spectrum infrared Sauna and how to get the most out of your session. We'll also explore the color therapy options in your sauna cabin and the entertainment choices that are available to you.

During your visit to Revive:

• Stay well hydrated during your session. You are welcome to bring water into your suite but please do not bring it into the Sauna cabin.
• Towel off during your session (blot). This will help the body perspire more freely.
• To relieve sore and tight muscles, massage those areas for faster healing and effectiveness.

• Never sleep inside the sauna while the unit is in full operation.

• Do not turn the temperature down. If the temperature is turned down the heaters will shut off when they hit that temperature and you will continue to sweat, but you will no longer be receiving the benefits of infrared light.

• Don’t let yourself get overheated. Open the vent or door if you need to cool down. Step out and take breaks when needed. There is a bench if you need to sit outside the sauna cabin to cool down. End your session early, if needed. Listen to your body!

• Don’t stress and rush yourself through a relaxing sauna session.

After your visit to Revive:

• Wear light and loose clothing or bring a change of clothing for after your session. This will help when re-dressing after your session.
• Some minerals can be lost in perspiration. Eating a sensible diet including fruits and green leafy vegetables will replace these. Supplements can also be taken to replenish minerals.
• At the first sign of a cold or flu, increasing your sauna sessions may be beneficial in boosting your immune system and decreasing the reproductive rate of the viruses. Do not use the Sauna if you have an existing fever.
